描述：SCP-3041是一起源未知的12厘米铁刀，有一裹有编织皮革的刀柄。放射测定未能确认刀刃年龄，但发现刀柄是在2个世纪后添加。刀的表面为锈色，发出腐肉气味。详细分析未能确认此异味来自何处。

SCP-3041会在有智能对象将其手握一定时间后表现出异常性质。触发所需时间各异；其中机制未知。

SCP-3041被激活后，对象会经历到一个梦境，梦中他们会使用SCP-3041攻击一个或多个人员，挖出并吞食对方的心脏。梦境的场景总是对象最初手握SCP-3041的地点，受害者一般为该地点可预期出现的人员。所有案例中，对象都无法认出其受害者。没有受害者与任何真实人员相匹配（无论在世与否）。

对象总是会多次经历该梦境，内容有少许改变。记忆删除能减少甚至消除此种情形，但大部分对象都会出现情绪紧张、罪责感及与PTSD相关的心理创伤。SCP-3041的效应可被多次触发，每次都会产生新梦境。

SCP-3041发现于隐居老人、古董收藏家Daniel Crenshall的个人物品中，他在02-15-1987自杀身亡。SCP-3041的异常性质在对Crenshall先生收藏品进行清点时被发现：有一研究员经历到的梦境与Crenshall先生在自杀遗书中所描述的极为相似。
