SCP-CN-2874因其投河后生成大量不属于本地生态环境的水生植物而重新引起了当地基金会人员的注意。在经过一系列测试后，确认其异常性质与生前相比并未产生变化，故继承此前的项目编号，并按照通用流程将之前的文档作归档处理。

  SCP-CN-2874最初被发现于2007年4月16日的一次水难事件之后。搜救失败后，SCP-CN-2874向警方提及了在水面下接触到的未知品种水草；因当地此前从未发现过水生植物的存在，基金会人员前往现场展开调查并证实其为SCP-CN-2874在水中搜索遇难人员²期间生成的异常实体。因确认SCP-CN-2874并未注意到自身的异常性质，且其暴露于外界的概率远低于指定标准，故当地站点决定不对其强制执行收容措施。
  
  更新于2012年12月11日：SCP-CN-2874于今日返回上述事件的事发现场。在与当地渔民简短交谈后，项目主动跳入河中自尽。目前正在对其实施抢救，待其状态稳定后将对文档的这一段落进行更新。
  
  当前仍未知晓项目的自杀动机，亦不明确其在自杀前询问此处是否存在原生水生植物的实际意图
