特殊收容措施：由于SCP-CN-860展现出的高危险性，项目目前已被收容于Area-CN-05，研究扇区红色区域基地Unit-A的一处封闭收容间内。收容间需加装力场约束设备、离子泵设备以确保项目悬浮于真空环境中。项目的看守人员需接受标准生化控制素质和放射性灾害阻抑训练程序。
项目在常态下必须保持锂单质的转法以保证其稳定性和易控制性。若项目表面的结构出现自发性改变，红色扇区将立刻启动III级生化灾害阻抑程序，无关人员需被尽快疏离。危险生化特遣组Square-01"镜像" 需被派遣以控制并修正项目转换进程。鉴于项目在转动过程中可能展现出更多不确定性高危事件，所有关于项目的实验已经被无限期延后。

描述：忽略其异常性质，SCP-CN-860外型为一个形状与普通镜面魔方并无差别的三阶镜面魔方。理论上任何人员都可以将其转动并还原。
项目的异常性质表现为，无论采用何等精确的长度测量仪器，项目的三边边长都只能被测量为5.8cm。这种异常性质在高温差/压力差环境下同样适用。当项目处于六面还原状态下时，它的质量与普通的Rubik's Cube镜像魔方相当。项目无法被拆开或者单独旋转其中的棱块，同样，任何波段的电磁射线都无法穿透以探究其内部结构。
当项目被转动为不同形态时，其六面的覆盖物质也在同一时间随旋转形态改变。在大量的前期转动实验下，已经有数十种元素及化合物被成功生成。由于未知原因，在同一旋转形态下对项目表面的采样无法使项目的质量发生变化，项目似乎不遵守质量守恒定律。
由于魔方具有异常大的变化数¹且每一次变化都会转化新的纯净物，相关实验研究小组在其收容之初就被快速建以探究其变化规律。

实验记录：
在非实验状态下，项目以右上角块为最大块相对的一面作为标准参照系，并在复原状态下进行一次RL'转动。

实验内容：项目处在RL'²状态下。对项目表面进行观测，发现项目表面被锂(Li)金属覆盖。指示研究员对其进行还原(RL转动)。
实验结果：当项目处在六面还原状态下时，其表面银白色物质消失并转化为镜面，从研究员的指尖滑落并在地板上滑行至墙角。将魔方进行回收。
将项目沿斜面松开，在前方事先设置一条长约10米的金属板。观测到项目在到达斜面底部时沿金属板进行匀速滑行，并没有任何减速的迹象。其动摩擦系数小于已知的任何一种材料。

· 实验SCP-CN-860 A-2
实验内容：项目处在六面还原状态下。对项目表面物质进行取样并使用光学显微镜对项目表面进行观测。
实验结果：对项目表面的取样操作失败；当使用一千倍光学显微镜对项目表面进行数码取值时，无论怎样调节目镜焦距，都无法观测到表面微观细节。向科学部门的专业人员请求协助。经过推测，此时项目组成分子之间的电磁斥力已经被强相互作用力所抵消。³

· 实验SCP-CN-860 B
实验内容：指示研究员进行F操作。
实验结果：研究员双手突然被粘在项目上，项目周围散发出大量白雾。安保人员立刻将项目进行还原，使其回到光滑状态。该研究员随后被送入抢救，其双手被超低温冻伤，被迫截肢。
使用机械臂再次进行F操作。对项目的表面取样，确定其为固态氢气。当再次进行F转动时，项目表面被固态氧气所覆盖。其转动规律和周期/族支似乎有一定关系。
随后的实验应该使用机械臂或者D级人员。如果该魔方能生成不同的元素，那无疑有些操作会是危害性的。 -Dr Cube

实验结果：在项目表面检测到放射性，推测为一种稳定形态的放射性同位素。取样分析后确定其为重氢。

实验内容：
我们目前根据转动规律大概得知，项目的转动方向指代意义是具有规律的。你可以改变其质子及中子数，或者改变核电核数合成化合物。这种改动似乎只能体现在原子层面，更深层的规律依旧没有显现的迹象。 -科学部门S███ M████，三级研究员。
指示机械臂按照编写程序进行转动，至IIIB纵族，第六周期。随后等待指示并逐次进行族系转动。
实验结果：发现项目表面被不同的稀土元素覆盖；在这种面积下有部分元素对于站点来说是富有价值的高级设备原始材料。向站点主任Dr.Widden报备请求对项目表面进行取样。4种元素被同意截取。

由于在试验过程中部分元素具有放射性，项目的实验被转移到红色扇区的辐射危险品研究区域内。进一步的研究由于其可能的危险性被延缓。

· 实验SCP-CN-860 X
实验内容：指示机械臂按照编写程序进行转动，转动至过渡系部分。
实验结果：机械臂按照指示进行八次转动，转换出的所有过渡金属都能在项目表面保持稳定的电子构型。该试验在结束后命令机械臂返回至第四次操作。

· 实验SCP-CN-860 X-1
实验内容：指示机械臂进行R51正方向转动的提案以三比二成功通过。
· 该操作为自行性电子机械臂控制。基地Unit-A下500米的闸口全部关闭并启动壳体/混凝土保护墙；Square-01 "镜像"准备就位以随时处理突发情况。已申请634号提案紧急启动以抑制最后的收容失效风险。
